Torre dell' orologio e piazza con il mercato, sketch.

Every Tuesday we have a big market in the main square, yesterday morning I went for a walk there. then I sit down on the stair of the cathedral and draw the view from there.
It was VERY hot, I didn't last too long!
Did the the work in pencil on the spot and went on it today with my Micropen.
Loving my days over here...

A day at the beach. Marina Romea. Sketching time!!

Hello hello!
back home after a fine day at the beach...
(not my usual beautiful but coldish and not very populated beach!!) but from a proper hot and busy, Italian beach.
I totally enjoyed  the day, the heat and my mom's and nephew company.  :)

We drove to Marina Romea, one of the beaches along the Riviera Romagnola.

Here is my first sketch, the small house is fishing place.

Me and mom !

and the umbrella next to us...behind the beach there is a huge pine forest, really beautiful.

The busy beach...is very popular to take long walks on the sand .
The water is very shallow. and there are no big waves ( or rather NO waves at all, compared to Ocean beach in SF)  ... perfect for taking long tanning walks and the ideal place for children to play.
I love it here!
I have been missing this so much!

Polish roofs, sketch

Quick sketch from the window, at my in law's home in Sczecin, Poland

Just back from a very short, too short! visit at my hubby's family in Poland.
Not enough time to go around and sketch or take pictures of the place, we are planning a longer stay for me hopefully next year.
However I managed to do a quick sketch of the view from one of the window on the top floor.
I TOTALLY LOVES THE ROOFS..and the contrast red and green is very picturesque. A quick sketch was due.

Back in Italy already , will post more from here!

Off for pizza with parents and brothers! :)
Have a nice evening everyone!

Love by the Sea.

Love by the Sea.
Illustrator.

This design is a combination of line drawing and pattern.
The bodies shapes were inspired once more by a picture of my husband and me on our wedding day.

Playing around with patterns I created a 70's version of our lovely hug.

70'sLove

This experiment was pretty fun! Loved playing around with line drawing.

Last post from San Francisco, off to Europe tomorrow, sketching books are packed! looking forward to share my views with you!

Have a great rest of the day!

Scanno, Italy. Sketch from photo.

Scanno, view.
Drawing with Illustrator.

4 days to go to our European Holiday trip! Faenza, Berlin, Sczecin, Cinque terre and Ajaccio our planned stops.

Feeling very excited and in the mood of drawing something Italian style :)
Old houses, cobbled street, clothes hanging out of the window....that is so home to me.
Love it.
I cant wait to hang around the little streets in Faenza.
Those streets that I have never felt the need of photographing or drawing for the 20 years I lived there.
Life is funny.... and the grass is always greener on the other side. :)  SO VERY TRUE.
Now that I live 9564 km away in Sunny ( not in these days) California I am excited at the idea of my Faenza Holiday time.

Thanks to Ivan for this lovely photo, hope you like my sketched version!

Keep up the good work! Keep shooting beautiful pictures!
Ciao and see u soon!

Keep calm and carry on relaxing. Quick Sketch

Back to a quick sketch...was missing it.

Pencil and Illustrator.

Long story short....in my art room I have this red sofa, Mona normally come and sleep there in the afternoon ( never in the morning, do not ask me why!).
Yesterday I turned just to have a quick look to what she was up to and she was looking at me in this very funny pose...
Too cute not to draw!!!

She is the master of  RELAX here in the house.

Red flower and Red lips.

Digital painting with Illustrator

Here is my last drawing and experiment... I wanted to see how the digital watercolor works...
It looks pretty cool!!

I love this last work especially because it looks completely different from my normal way of painting. I like the unfinished look, the transparency and the visible strokes.

Here is a picture of the work in progress :

And here is the lay out ....love this view mode! Thousands of stroke on the lips :)

Friday already and  already August!!!.... time really flies when you are having fun!
One month with Illustrator today, happy anniversary to me :)

Have a good everyone!
