I  really enjoyed working on this piece, experimenting with new material while drawing a beautiful mom and baby duo.

Enjoy your sleep :)  but also enjoy your long showers, your slow and not rushed meal times, your time alone in the toilet ;)  and basically everything else you are used to do on your own .
Someone new is on its way and he/she will want to share everything with you. LITERALLY EVERYTHING.
 It will be the most awesome experience of your life, wishing you all the best guys!! I am sure you will make two wonderful parents and the lucky baby will also have an amazing aunt!!

Mamma mammina, this is the way my baby calls me lately. 

Love it. 

As much as I love squeezing him, kissing his little cheeky face and looking at him sleeping...like he is doing right now! Hopefully he will sleep a bit longer though ;) 

This MOM LOVE is a really a big thing...you cannot get it if you are not a mom, at least I couldn't before becoming one.

Ops!! he just woke up  :(

The work behind it :

Last Sunday my baby and I had a bit of a messy art time ( he LOVES painting already!!), at the end of it I collected all his pieces of paper, broke them in different shapes and glued to the canvas for my collage.

I went back to work at my piece once Alex was in bed :)  

More paper, more color. Watercolors , acrylics, some colored pencils here and there, I also added some piece of old lace I had in my "material box".

I kept working on it till I had something I was happy with .
