Yes, I am totally in love with my dog:)

She is just amazing, with her own personality, her style, her habits, her funny stretches, her all-i-can-eat attitude, her super energy.

She is a bit spoiled but it's ok... she deserves it all! She gives us back so much. 

Sometimes I wonder how Mona would if she was a person....I am sure she would be a pretty cool gal.

And we probably would be best friends.

We had a beautiful day here at the beach, sunny and warm. Perfect weather for a long walk for me and Mona.

 I wanted to explore new ways of painting eyes...and I choose to do it with an owl, they do have big eyes anyways :)
I am very happy with the eyes and also with the scarf! Thanks to a new brush :)

Once again I tried using a different set of brushes. Mainly wet brushes to create a more painterly effect. If you zoom in you can actually see the strokes ...which is very cool!

I want to try to make the next one with even more texture :)

During my last week visit at the OB we checked on the baby position....he is already head down, ready to go!!!

It is good practice to switch every now and then from a color view to a black and white one, so to check the values of the drawing.

Weather update: here in Ocean Beach there are the same shades of gray as in this photo.
However the forecast are saying nice weather tomorrow and amazing sunny days for all next week....let's hope they are right!

Mona is going to have a second dip! She is obviously cannot believe her luck!! :)
I love the way Michal can pick her up with one hand anyway, making her seem so light! While she is around 22 pounds (almost 10kg!). Strong hubby ;)

The tiredness is kicking in and I am fighting myself not to nap in the afternoon.

However, the thought that later I ll have not time to draw (..at least at the beginning!) is an enough motivator to keep me going...for now!!!

Here is my last digital drawing, I spent most of the time on the girl face and hair, that as you guys know is my FAVORITE part.

Memo to myself for the next work: do my favorite parts at the end, so that I  ll finish in an excited mood and not bored by doing the shadows :) LOL

Despite the fact of Mona and water not being really best buddies, she is a VERY good swimmer!
And the best thing is that few swims are enough to tired her out and make her sleep like a baby :)

A quiet evening walk.

Tried painting with different brushes today...

I am still finding painting landscape digitally very VERY frustrating... takes me for ever to find a brush I like then it takes even longer to re-find it among the amount of pre-set brushes.

Landscape wise I still believe that the traditional oils and brushes do a better  job.....lets see if I am gonna change my mind in the next week or so....practice, practice, practice !!

Least but not last :) the weather update!

(yessss! the weather is very important to me! Italians like summer, heat and sun, that's why!which is what , sadly, is missing here in SF)

Today it was sunny and warm (maybe 20C ), Mona and I had a very nice morning run, plus an afternoon walk at the park. Trying to enjoy the nice weather as long as it last!

 On my to do list ( together with making the home ready for the baby and cleaning up!) for this week there is LANDSCAPE PAINTING (written in capital letters too!).
Today I attempted to digitally sketch a photo we took the past weekend in the Russian River.

Totally a new way of painting and drawing to me, I am still experimenting with layers and brushes.
Planning to do some quick landscape every day for this week...hopefully wit some better result by the end of the week! Finger crossed!


By the way, I loved the Russian river area, hot and green....just the way I like it! And we had a great time at the river...taking mona into the water!:)
