This is quick study from Tuesday afternoon class.

Red shoes and white flower, still life

Still nice and warm outside, I cannot believe is the last day of January....lucky us!!
My knee is worst than yesterday, probably standing on my legs all day didnt help ;(
Short walk with Mona this morning , than off to the garden for a quick painting, my red shoes and some white flowers from a neighbour garden. They didnt look WOW, but they smelled amazingly...

Here is the finished painting, 45 min....i might fix few things tomorrow...lets see...

I worked the flower with a lot of color...
I know you have seen these shoes before!!! Hopefully I ll not bore you!! :)
Probably I have painted these shoes more time than I wore them!;)

Hello!
An amazing day this one, weather wise :) sunny and warm...winter is finally over :) and is only the end of January!!

Otherwise the day went quite wrong,  fall down this morning while running and hurt my knee , I can barely walk now...and spent 2 hours at the dentist . I love my dentist but I hate anesthesia :(

Enough about me, let's talk about art!

Feeling tired but satisfied, it was a busy Tuesday this one!
Run with Mona this morning, some painting, some more painting at school, then a nice swim to help me fight an annoying back pain... No pain now just super tired!!!

Hello everyone!
I was in back in Cali yesterday...had an amazing 8days in Italy, with family and friends :)
Spoiled by mom, and catching up with old friends...it felt so good!!
The travel was a bit of a nightmare though, with 2 flights cancelled, one overnight in London, forgetting my Ipad at the airport :( , luggage delayed for 4 days, and problem with return flight too.
Actually this was my unluckiest journey ever, still i had a great time :)

Busy with unpacking, cleaning and catching up with things today I made a wooden block:

Red, black and gold the front side

Yellow , gold and red the back side....with a cute collage underneath: snoopy!

3pm in the afternoon...and I have not yet started packing !!!
Not that I need much stuff...staying for only 9 days...I ll start after my blog :)
YES! leaving tomorrow for Italy and back in 10 days! I ll try to blog and to create some small art while I ma there. I wish I could take my colors with me....ohhh!! that would be soooo nice!!! but not possible, not his time. I ll take pencil and watercolor though...and i ll try to do something :)

Back to portrait!!!

Good evening!!

It was a good day, but now I am soooo tired!!!
Early wake up and out for a run with Mona, it was cold!!! But after the freezing weekend today it felt ok :)
And I have to admit that a nice run is always a good start of the day, a t least for me!
After the holiday break I went back to my favorite class EVER, portrait class, of course!:)
I was missing it badly!
Drawing energizes me, soothes me...is a weird amazing mix. I am jus tin love with it and addicted to it.

Here she is, today's model:

I loved her colors, I wish I had my colors and canvas with me this morning instead of pencils and paper!

Winter

Back from a freezing but fun  :) weekend in South Lake Tahoe.
It was VERY cold but sunny both days and the view we enjoyed from the top of the mountain was spectacular....
Today's painting is a quick landscape study, 6x6 inches oil and sand on canvas.

Today I was not supposed to paint, too many other things to do.
Still, I fell in temptation!!
An I wasted all afternoon trying to fix a face that in the end I covered...it was too small and I dont small enough brushes....so, my bride is shy :)

Hello everyone!

Hope you had a good day!

Today the sun was shining here in Melo Park.
A beautiful wintery day, not to cold :) the perfect weather for a nice morning run to my favorite lake.
Some painting in the morning, coffee and chat with a very good friend, then a swim (still outdoor!) , food shopping and home now, making dinner and creating a bit more :)
Not a bad day ;)

Since we are approaching Valentine's day I am preparing some very affordable-love-art

 Gloomy, rainy, and cold outside, plus I have a bad headache ...the day can only get better!!

But I have good news : she is finished and she looks gorgeous!!! :)

Valentine's day frame :)

Hello everyone! and happy Saturday :)
Today artwork is really one of a kind!

Almost one year ago I bought a couple of really nice white wooden frames, once home I discovered they were unusable, since they had a weird size! Not good for standard canvas :(
It was a big disappointment at the time.

Then yesterday I had an idea....turn the frame into a Valentine's day present, here  it is! ( that is for sale in my Etsy shop )
